INTERIOR \ BANGKOK
121 Residence
Perched 160 meters above the Chao Praya River in Bangkok, this private residence is a fusion of traditional Thai craftsmanship and modern furniture and detailing. In a city full of energetic bombardment, this project offers an escape from the constant call for attention.
The interior design has clean lines and a neutral color palette creating a tranquil atmosphere. Locally sourced white oak paneling and artisanal plastered walls envelop the space highlighting views across the city. The guest room features a wall made from custom diced glass referencing the temples along the river. The focal point of the residence is a locally hand crafted travertine wall framed with crisp bronze detailing.
The interplay of traditional and modern design elements creates a unique and sophisticated living experience, which is both functional and visually appealing. This residence is a celebration of tropical modernism and traditional Thai craftsmanship, creating a harmonious balance between the past and the present.
